House of Marbles
The House of Marbles has so much more to offer than marbles. They produce quality vintage & traditional toys, games, gifts and books, and you’ll find it’s more than just a shop. So much so that I have a House of Marbles article
There are 3 museums to explore: Glass & Marble, Games and Pottery. Then you can watch glass-makers in action as the molten glass is shaped, blown, moulded, pinched, and cut into amazing pieces of glass.
There are opportunities for making crafts throughout the year, including glass-blowing workshops, and leading up to Christmas, wreath-making and glass bauble making.
Santa will also have a grotto between 25 November and 22 December.

China Blue
China Blue is dedicated to getting away from mass produced, high environmental impact products and offers local on-trend homeware, innovative gifts, artisan kitchenware and all round much more sustainable items.
They stock deli produce, beauty products, pet gifts, children’s products and even a plantable Children’s book that grows into a carrot!
In their Wild Thyme Deli & Kitchen, you can treat yourself to a home-made cake or enjoy an afternoon tea.
On the last Wednesday of each month, they hold a Pottery Evening which involve pot throwing and hand building of 3 items along with returning to come and paint them all included in the price! And their quarterly Paint & Dine Nights are also very popular.

Brixham Steam Packet
If you’re looking for marine-themed gift shops in Devon, there is nowhere better than Brixham Steam Packet. This homage to all things maritime was opened by Bob Higginson in 2012 who has a passion for ocean liners after his short stint as a Steward on the QE2.
The shop is full of maritime antiques and vintage collectables, including anchors, helms, propellers, bronzes, soft furnishings, navigational instruments, life savers, portholes, mirrors, lighting and models. They also stock authentic brochures and photographs.
The adjoining ‘Chart Room’ coffee shop has been designed to offer a nostalgic snap shot of the opulence and splendour of turn of the century steam ship travel, so after browsing the store you can enjoy a lunch or afternoon tea.

The Seven dial café offers sandwiches, cream teas and cake and dogs are made welcome with their own treats.
